AI Model
You can set a default model for every new chat. This is especially useful when a project covers a specific type of task, such as writing or image generation, for which one model is particularly well suited.
Files
Upload files centrally within the project, or create a new text file via the plus icon, for example for notes you want to keep directly in the project.
All files in a project are available to the chats within it, while Mono decides situationally which file is relevant for a specific request. If Mono recognizes that a file contributes to answering a question, it is automatically made available to the AI model.
If you do not want to delete a file but it should not be used at the moment, you can temporarily ignore it with the green toggle. This way it stays saved in the project, and you can reactivate it at any time later.
Uploads can be up to 100 MB in size. How many words a file can contain in total depends on your plan.
Collaborating
Projects can also be shared with others. If you invite people, they get access to the shared files and chats in the project. This requires at least a Business plan.
Instructions
You can add additional instructions that automatically flow into every new chat. These can be, for example, guidelines on tone, format, or rules. You can also import existing skills into a project.
Memory
By default, memories work across projects: what Mono learns about you in one project can also be used in other projects and outside of projects.
If you don't want this, you can switch to "Project only" in the project settings. In this mode, memories stay strictly within the project, no external memories flow in, and nothing from the project reappears outside of it.
Organizing chats
Chats don't have to be assigned to a project from the start. You can move existing chats into a project afterwards if you notice that they belong there thematically.
