Solid Technologies AG uses cookies and similar technologies on Mono (the “Service”). This Cookie Policy explains what cookies are, how Mono uses them, and your choices.

1. What Are Cookies?

Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. They help the website function properly, remember preferences, and improve the user experience. Mono also uses similar technologies such as pixels and web beacons.

2. Types of Cookies Mono Uses

  1. Necessary Cookies: Necessary for core functionality such as security, preventing abuse, remembering your consent settings, and basic website operation. These remain active because the website cannot function properly without them.
  2. PostHog Cookies and Storage: During the current service test, PostHog storage is used only after a logged-out visitor grants analytics consent or while a user is logged in. PostHog uses a cookie named ph_<project-token>_posthog and related local-storage entries to retain a device or user identifier, session identifier, consent state, and limited configuration. The PostHog cookie may remain for up to 365 days.

3. How Mono Uses Cookies

  1. Website Functionality: To keep the public website secure and operational and to remember your cookie choices.
  2. Measurement: To understand which pages and features are used through predefined PostHog events and eligible session replays after a logged-out visitor grants analytics consent or while a user is logged in. Replay records page structure, rendered visible text, element attributes, and interaction sequences; form and input values are masked. Console logs, network payloads, and canvas content are not recorded. PostHog autocapture and automatic page-view capture remain disabled.

4. Third-Party Cookies

Some cookies or similar technologies are provided by PostHog for product analytics and eligible session replay after public analytics consent or while a user is logged in. PostHog's processing is also governed by its privacy notice and contractual terms.

Mono stores your consent choice in the necessary local-storage entry mono_cookie_consent_v1 until you change the setting, Mono changes the consent version, or you clear browser storage.

5. Your Choices

  1. Cookie Settings Overlay: On the public website you can accept or reject optional PostHog analytics.
  2. Withdraw or Change Consent: You can reopen your settings at any time via the Cookie settings link at the top of this Cookie Policy.
  3. Browser Settings: Most browsers let you block or delete cookies or alert you when cookies are set. Blocking necessary cookies may impair the Service.
  4. Analytics Opt-Out: Withdrawing analytics consent in Mono's cookie settings stops PostHog tracking while you are logged out, but does not stop tracking that applies while you are logged in. You can clear the associated cookies and local-storage entries or block them in your browser.

6. Consent and Signals

Before PostHog is activated for a logged-out visitor on the public website, Mono applies your consent choice through the cookie settings overlay. Necessary cookies do not require opt-in because they are required for the website to work. While a user is logged in, PostHog may be activated independently of the public-site analytics choice.

When analytics consent is enabled or the user is logged in, Mono permits eligible session replay, predefined PostHog product events, and user identification where applicable. When analytics consent is denied or withdrawn and the user is logged out, Mono does not initialize PostHog and blocks tracking.

7. Updates to This Cookie Policy

Mono may update this Cookie Policy from time to time to reflect changes in practices or for operational, legal, or regulatory reasons. If Mono makes material changes, Mono will update the “Last Updated” date above.
