Key Features
- Dedicated Space: Each room is a separate environment for your chats, keeping them organized and focused.

- Memory Handling: Configure how Mono remembers information across different chats in a room – automatically, manually, or turned off.

Room Overview
When you open a room, you'll see an overview that includes:
Chat List: All chat threads within this room will be displayed here.
Settings:
- Default model: Select a model that will be pre-selected for all new chats in this room.
- Additional instructions: Provide specific instructions that will be added to every new chat in this room.
- Memory handling: Choose how Mono manages memory for chats in this room:
- Automatic: Mono automatically retains and applies relevant information from past conversations.
- Manual: You explicitly tell Mono what to remember or forget.
- Off: Mono does not retain any memory across chats in the room.
- Your private memory stays private and is not available in any room.
Shared Files: This section displays files that have been uploaded and are available to all new chats in the room.
Access: View the owner and all members of the room. Click Invite people this button to invite other users to join your room.
Creating a New Room
- Click the icon on the top left to open the sidebar.
- Your room list is visible now.
- Click Create room.
- A prompt will ask you to name your room. Enter a descriptive name and click "Create".
Joining and Leaving Rooms
When someone invites you to a room, you'll see an invitation in your sidebar. You can choose to "Accept" or "Reject" the invitation.
If you are not the owner of a room, you can leave it at any time.
- Right-click the room in your sidebar.
- Click delete.
Deleting a Room
If you are the owner of a room:
- Right-click the room in your sidebar.
- Click delete.
- If there are chats or members in the room, you will be prompted to confirm the deletion by typing the room's name. This ensures you intend to delete all associated data for everyone.
Sharing Files
You can upload files directly into a room. These files will then be accessible to all new chats created within that room. All files will be accessible to all members of this room.
- Go to the "Shared files" section in the room overview.
- Click the "Upload" button and select the files you want to share.
Important Notes
- File Size Limits: There's a 25MB maximum file size for uploads to a room. Images over 512KB will be downsized.
- File Access: Chats have access to the last 10 files shared in a room.
