In this lesson, you will learn how to choose the interface language, color scheme, sending shortcut, quote behavior, and invitation hints.
Try it: make Mono comfortable for longer drafts
Pretend you often write several paragraphs before sending and want fewer accidental submissions.
- Open the Settings gear menu at the top and choose Interface.
- Under Language, choose English or Deutsch. The setting also controls email language. Keep English while following this version of the course, or switch to the German course using the footer language link.
- Under Color scheme, try Light mode, System, and Dark mode. System follows your device preference. Choose what is comfortable; this setting is device specific.
- Under Send messages, select Ctrl + Enter if you want Enter for line breaks. Select Enter if that is how you prefer to send. In a new draft, check the behavior before relying on the shortcut. The send button remains available.
- Under Quote on selection, choose Enabled or Disabled. Enabled shows a quote button when you select text in the chat thread; quoting helps you ask about a specific passage.
- Under Share hints, choose Enabled or Disabled depending on whether you want reminders about sharing your invitation link.
- Return with the back arrow and write a two-paragraph draft. Check that the appearance and keyboard behavior match your choice.
For email subscriptions, use Settings → Notifications, where you can adjust Product updates, Model updates, Onboarding, and Referral updates separately. These are different from the on-screen Share hints.
Check your result
You have chosen readable colors and a sending shortcut you understand. You know where interface preferences end and email notification preferences begin.
